“Perfect your process and systemize, so it’s easy to teach a framework for students or clients.”

Now, let’s get real for a second, which I loved about this interview with Tyler… very few successes are overnight.

We hear that on track to hit 7 figures and automatically think, Oh that’s not my story, look at where I am now.

But, check this out. Tyler didn’t start out with this million dollar business. He started with a friend helping businesses with their social media. Then he veered off and created a coaching business focusing on Instagram. AND, then he created the Fan to Follower Society that changed his story forever.

Now, he’s randomly getting DM’s (direct messages) from people like Amy Porterfield and making money moves.

What social platform should you be on?

Should you be on Instagram?

Great question, and here’s the answer for any social media platform: Are your people on that platform? Do you want to build a community on this platform? Do you want to be on the platform at all?

For Instagram in particular, if you don’t want to do stories and if you’re only on Instagram to repurpose information. Then don’t do it. It will not serve you or your business well.

Pro Tip: It’s okay to repel people. Because you can’t magnetize people to you and your brand without repelling others at the same time.

Consider how you’re showing up in relation to your audience. Think shared core values over how can I make money off of this person.

Tyler teachers a “people first and people always” to truly grow your audience on Instagram. Obsess over the value of the content you’re creating and the relationships you’re building.

The Hero Platform

Where is the place you can commit to showing up consistently with the highest value and start there.

Tyler started his own online business venture with Instagram, a free Facebook group and an email list and was able to create an $80K income.

His method was build a connection, provide excellent content and then guide them to the next platform. Hint: it’s all about the DM (direct message)

Moving up in online business

Tyler shared that his personal holdbacks were linked to his mindset, specifically money mindset.

“The entrepreneurs who recognize their roadblocks are moving further faster than those who aren’t”

Here’s some tips for moving forward:

1. online programs are amazing, but they can also be the biggest distraction in our business. Choose a coach, mentor, mastermind, and even read a book and commit to taking ACTION.

2. Invest in the right programs, masterminds, mentors, etc.

3. Work through your mindset issues, and comparison roadblocks (stop watching “competitors”!)

Pro Tip: Invest in education and do the work around it. Action creates clarity.

“The thing that propelled me further faster is my willingness to show up consistently and confidently as myself. And that willingness to do that has created the opportunities for visibility, connection with my mentors and peers, and with my customers and clients.”
